Rude staff and a dump of a hotel.
To the manager's comment below: Interesting you can explain what you think is the only reason for my review, but not call me back like the front desk attendant said you would. If you have that policy it should be expressed before booking (directly through IHG mind you) and not when someone shows up at 11pm with a reservation.
Holiday Inn on Layton is a much nicer all around and I recommend it to anyone who'd considering this hotel. This hotel has rude staff and a manager that can't return a message.
Edit: Thanks for reminding me to review of Trip Advisor too, unnamed manager. When a manager is proud of their 3.9 star rating that should tell you enough lol
This hotel and staff are amazing. Beds are super comfy and hot tub was extremely relaxing. We will definitely be back!
Good hotel for the price. The kids loved the pool (We booked a pool side room), the room was clean, breakfast was good and had good hours. We've stayed here a few times and will likely come again.
Room was great! Breakfast had a big selection. Staff was helpful. Pool was good. The pool had a max depth of 4 feet, but it had zero depth entry so it's great for young kids. I stayed here for a conference that I had in downtown Milwaukee since I needed something cheaper than downtown prices. I'd stay here again if I need an overnight in Milwaukee.
I have to give this hotel 5 stars as the staff is tremendous. They clearly go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and welcome here. Erica at the front desk was totally awesome by helping us with our special needs for our little ones. Savanna at the font desk was very hospitable and made us feel at home. She helped us problem solve our key card problem and made our girls feel special by delivering their own nighttime comfort kids - they loved them! Free breakfast is super convenient. The pool area is a huge bonus for kids. My only complaint is that the jets in the hot tub didn't work.
